SYNOPSIS

Antonio remembers his childhood. He lived in a remote town in Cordoba (Andalucia), during the celebration of catholic Holy Week. A lonely and curious child watched secretly Paco. He is an old painter. One day they met each other. Antonio is a doubting child, about religión and death. Paco taught Antonio not only painting but also to ask himself about everything, to observe and understand his life as a transient stay

BIO-FILMOGRAPHY 

ALFREDO PICAZO

Alfredo Picazo was born in 2000 in Baena (Córdoba).

He has a degree in Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts from TAI School, where he specialized in film directing. Additionally he is a certified colourist.  He has also directed several music videos. 

 

Together with Luis (Soto) Muñoz, he was in charge of the cinematography of "Tale of a Lemon Tree" (2021). 

His first professional short film as director and scriptwriter was "When The Pure Forms Sank" (2021), a free adaptation of the story of the spanish writer Federico García Lorca during the Spanish Civil War. "The Trail Left By Time" (2023) is his debut as a film director.

BIOFILMOGRAFÍA 

LUIS (SOTO) MUÑOZ

Luis Muñoz Cubillo, also known as Soto, was born in 2000 in Baena (Córdoba). He has a degree in Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts from TAI School, where he specialized in film directing.  He currently resides in Madrid.

In 2021, he premiered his first audiovisual piece "Tale of a Lemon Tree" at the International Medium-Length Film Festival of Valencia, receiving mentions for best script and best medium-length film by the senior jury.

"Dreams and Crumbs" hist first feature film, was premiered at Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest (Mallorca, Spain) and won the Agustí Villaronga Award for Best National Film in Spain. It was also selected at Ibertigo, Ibero American Cinema Showcase of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, at the Rizoma Official Selection International Festival of Intertwined Culture (Madrid, Spain), at SEFF Seville European Film Festival (Seville, Spain), at Ibizacinefest (Ibiza, Spain) and at D´A Festival de Barcelona (Barcelona, Spain) where it won the Open Ecam Award.​

In 2023 he made his second feature film "The Trail Left By Time" co-directed with Alfredo Picazo which was selected at the Marché du Film of Cannes Docs and was premiered at 61 FICX Gijon International Film Festival where it won the FIPRESCI Award for best film, the AMAE Award for best spanish film editing for Rafael Cano and the special mention for best spanish Film. Additionally, it participated in Documenta Madrid (2024) where it received a Special Mention from the jury.

Currently, he is developing his next feature film titled "Don Quixote according to Juan Trujillo”  selected at Cinema Pendent, and  Extremlab of L´Alternativa Film Festival. and Atlàntida Mallorca Talents Lab.

 

His works are characterized by the use of rural areas as a setting. Interested in decentralized production models, he shoots his films immersing them in an escapist aura in contrast to urban freneticism. His films deal with themes such as absence, memory, or adolescent drift, impregnated with traces of magical realism and phantasmagoria inherited from Ibero-American literature.
